One Great Hour of Sharing
During Lent, we are collecting an offering for One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS). OGHS is a PCUSA offering that supports the Presbyterian Hunger Program, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and Self-Development of Peoples. Donate using the special envelopes in the pews, or on the GIVE link by designating your gift for One Great Hour of Sharing.

Sight and Sound Theatre
Join our friends at Jerusalem Mount Pleasant Church for a bus trip to see the Sight and Sound Theater production of the story of Noah and the flood. Trip also includes deluxe transportation, snacks, and lunch at Shady Maple Smorgasbord all for $185 per person. The bus leaves at 8:30 am and returns at approximately 8:30 pm. Earth Day City Clean Up
Join your RPC friends as we do our part to keep God’s world beautiful and trash free. We will enjoy a Earth Day themed service and then RPC’s Mission Committee is organizing a neighborhood trash clean up and with Earth Day themed crafts for kids. We will focus on nearby public areas most afflicted with litter (MD-355, Washington Street) and do our part to restore God’s beauty or our surroundings. Come dressed for dirty work and wear comfortable shoes. Some gloves and grippers will be available or bring your own. You are also encouraged to wear your RPC T-shirt or something bright for the sake of visibility. We will meet in the RPC parking lot following worship. This is an SSL eligible activity. GenOUT Youth Chorus
Don’t miss this talented group of singers as they provide music for the June 1st Sunday morning worship service at RPC. The GenOUT Youth Chorus is the DC area’s only vocal ensemble for LGBTQ+ and allied youth. An outreach ensemble of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, GenOUT has performed at many local houses of worship, the Lincoln Theatre, the Kennedy Center, Washington National Cathedral, the White House, and the Library of Congress. We look forward to welcoming the GenOut chorus and their family members to RPC!

Language Outreach Program
During Lent, we are collecting money to support the Language Outreach Program (LOP). LOP is part of Community Reach and offers classes for non-native English speakers and citizenship classes. A $20 donation covers the class registration fee for 1 person for 1 class. A $30 donation covers books for 1 person for 1 class. We are keeping track of how much we collect in the Calvin Room at church. Donate now to help us fill up the wall! You can donate using the offering plate or online, please designate your gift for the LOP collection. Community Reach Pickleball Tournament

Choir Practices for Easter Sunday Performance
Sing a joyful song to the Lord this Easter! Choir rehearsals begin Sunday, March 23rd at 9:30 AM with Minister of Music, Dr. Huai-En Tsai. Rehearsals continue each Sunday morning before worship as we prepare for our performance on Easter Sunday. All are welcome!

Passports Concert

Ash Wednesday Service and Dinner
Mark your calendars for the Ash Wednesday Service and Dinner on March 5th. We will have dinner at 6:00 p.m. and the service afterwards at 7:00 p.m. We will have soup, salad, bread, side dish and dessert. If you are planning on attending and would like to bring something to the dinner, please sign up on the sign-up sheet in the church hallway. Let’s get the Lenten season off to a great start!

Comedy Night to Support Rainbow Place – January 23-25, 2025
Give a Hoot is celebrating its 2nd anniversary from January 23 through 25th and has chosen Rainbow Place to be the beneficiary of the weekend’s proceeds. Give a Hoot Comedy Club is Montgomery County’s only full-time comedy club. Through their “Comedy For The Community” program, they partner with a different nonprofit each week. This year they have already raised over $25,000 for their nonprofit partners in Montgomery County. Last year was Rainbow Place’s first time partnering with Give a Hoot. Potluck with Jerusalem Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church
Join us for a Joint Service and Potluck with Jerusalem Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. We will be hosting our friends in Christ here at RPC. We will celebrate the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through music and prose. Please plan to bring a dish to share as we fellowship together with JMPUMC.

Souper Bowl of Caring
Sunday February 9 is Super Bowl Sunday and Souper Bowl Sunday! Rockville Presbyterian Church is collecting canned and dried goods for Manna Food Bank this Sunday (February 9) from 11:30 am - 1 pm in the church parking lot. Manna Food Bank is a food bank located in Gaithersburg (https://www.mannafood.org/) and serves those in need in our community. Christmas Eve Candlelight service for families
Children and adults of all ages are invited and welcomed to come together in joyful anticipation as we celebrate the glorious birth of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Join RPC for an engaging worship service, enlivened with the timeless melodies of cherished carols and the radiant glow of candlelight. Pastor Susan Graceson will infuse a light-hearted and interactive retelling of the birth story, as we create treasured memories and kindle the spirit of Christmas within our hearts.

Christmas Toy Distribution
Christmas Toy Distribution: Join Pastor Susan in distributing the Christmas toys that we collected on Thursday, December 19 3-7pm. Children's Christmas Pageant
Celebrate the joyous occasion of Jesus' birth as you witness the adorable children of Rockville Presbyterian Church donning delightful costumes and using props to bring the timeless story to our congregation during morning worship at 10:30 am. Under the direction of our Minister of Music, Huai-En Tsai, they will sing and portray the cherished tale of God’s action in our lives, sure to evoke smiles and delight audiences of every age.

Help us collect Christmas Toys for Community Reach! Each year, Community Reach gives Christmas presents to families in need. Bring all items to RPC by Sunday, December 8.
Needed items are below:
•New, unwrapped toys and gifts for children (ages 0-12) valued at $15 - $40 each
•$25 - $30 Target/Amazon/Visa/Mastercard gift cards for teens (ages 13-17)
