Volunteer Oportunities

Hospice Phone Support Providers:  Be available for people at a challenging time in their lives by covering the phone lines, for the Jewish Social Service Agency’s Hospice program, during weekends in Rockville. Minimum age is 18; references and background check required. Contact Elana Premack Sandler at 301-610-8395.

Clothing Center Workers: Sort and organize donations, assist clients, greet donors, or help with other needs as assigned at the Interfaith Works Clothing Center in Rockville.  Minimum age is 14; volunteers under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Providing Meals: The summer meals schedule at the Interfaith Works Women’s Center in Rockville has several holes to fill. They need your help!  Will you step up and make a difference?

The project requires providing food for 35 women.  Breakfast foods and bagged lunches: drop off the night before , at the Center.  Dinners are served to residents, who enjoy the opportunity to socialize with the volunteers.  If you do not fancy yourself a cook, the residents are always open to take-out meals, such as pizza and salad or Chinese Food.
