Harry Redd

Session Liaison to the Worship Team

Hi!  My name is Harry Redd.  My wife, Beth, and I have been members of Rockville Presbyterian Church since 1968.  Over that time I’ve served as a deacon and an elder.  I joined the session for the third time in January 2014.

I’ve seen many changes in our church during my years here—the size and composition of the congregation, the number of services on Sunday, the music program, to name only a few.  What has not changed throughout those years is the friendliness of our members, the joy we share during the service, and the caring commitment we have to one another and to our Lord.  Serving as the session’s liaison to the Worship Team has opened my eyes to the many things its chair and members do.  We are fortunate to have such people in our midst, and I am blessed and humbled to work with them!

I retired from federal civilian employment after a 34 year career which followed 4 years in the army and 4 years with Montgomery County Public Schools.  Today, Beth and I enjoy traveling, reading, photography, and gardening.  We have two sons and a daughter, who collectively have brought us two wonderful daughters-in-law and a great son-in-law.  They’ve also given us seven to-die-for grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.  We’re fortunate; they all live relatively close by, and we see them often.
