About the Program

Welcome to the Christian Education/Spiritual Formation page!  This area of ministry  focuses on the spiritual development of our congregation- children, youth, adults, and families. We offer Sunday School during the worship hour for children from preschool through Grade 5. This is a time of fun and learning about the Bible and God’s plans for us.

Currently we are using the “Growing in Grace” curriculum .  It is an engaging lesson each week for the children.  We also have a “Kids Khoir” for children in elementary school that practices each Sunday morning from 9:45-10:15.   The children learn various songs and styles of worship music, including some African drumming!

For youth in junior and senior high, we have youth group meetings each Sunday afternoon.  Our youth plan many activities, community service and an annual mission trip.  There are many exciting things going on with this great group, please see the YOUTH page.

For adults, we are focusing on small groups to encourage us to grow and develop our faith and our relationships with God and each other.  We have two distinct small groups that meet once a month in different member’s home. One group meets on Tuesday and the other group meets on Friday evenings.

Looking forward, we will also working on developing our family ministry.  We believe that faith is more than just a “Sunday thing”, and that parents and other adults are the primary source of learning about faith for children.  Part of our mission is to empower parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and others to encourage children on their faith journey.  Watch this space for opportunities to join us during the year!

We hope you will join us for all of the wonderful things that are happening here at RPC!
